Tarte Rainforest of the Sea: High Tides & Good Vibes Eyeshadow Palette Review

Well, what can I say...Tarte does it again...adding yet another beautiful and versatile piece to my favorite collection of theirs, The Rainforest of the Sea collection.

This eyeshadow palette definitely suits it's name, exuding nothing but good vibes from the exterior to the interior. Full of both vibrant and neutral colors, you will be able to create a daytime look or a nighttime look with just this palette.

Beginning with the outside, this palette is nothing short of astounding. This might be my favorite packaging yet. Even the outside box it comes in was stunning. I love the creativity behind the "moving water" on the front, making it look as though the turtle is actually swimming.

When you open the package up, you find champagnes and browns, as well as aquas and pinks. I didn't even know where to begin when choosing a look from this palette, as I mentioned above you can really do anything from natural to all out.

The palette is a mix of mattes, shimmers, and glitters, which gives you plenty of options. The shimmers were definitely my favorite, more specifically Galapagos and Dive In. They are very soft and pigmented.

In the pictures below they are the third and fourth ones from my wrist.

The matte shades are a perfect contrast to the other shades in the palette, even mixing well with the blue tones.

There are four glitter shadows, a gold and silver to go over any color, and a teal and pink to cover the brighter hues. Be ready, because it is glitter. It goes everywhere. As is the downfall of glitter. To go over top the colors you need just a very little bit. If you want to wear the glitter alone you will definitely need glitter glue.

I think of all the palettes that have come out recently, this is the one I've found the most fun to play in. There is just so much you can do with the different colors and types of shadows in the palette, so many different looks you can create.

I'll be playing with this one for the next few weeks for sure...OBSESSED.

If you're looking for a fun and versatile eyeshadow palette, this is it. Aside from the messiness that is glitter, I really couldn't find anything I didn't like about the palette.

Next on my purchase list is Tarte's collaboration with Adelaine Morin, so be on the lookout for that!

I have an eerie feeling I'm going to love it too!

Thanks for reading!
